Beau Wangtrakuldee — Building a Startup Is a Marathon, Not a Sprint

The journey can be exhausting but you have to keep going. Our today's feature is a genius who is concerned about everyone's safety.

Who Is Beau Wangatrakuldee?

Beau Wangtrakuldee

Meet Beau Wangtrakuldee, PhD, is the founder and CEO of AmorSui , a healthcare tech company that provides a simple and sustainable approach for clinics and hospitals to implement gender-inclusive, reusable, and recyclable safety apparel.

Beau grew up in a lower northern city in Thailand called Phitsanulok. She was raised by a family of entrepreneurs. From a very young age, she was fascinated with how science could create innovations and aspired to become a changemaker.

AmorSui was born out of her own painful yet enlightening experience during a lab experiment when a chemical spill left a temporary burn on her legs. She had her lab coat on, she had her goggles on, she did everything right. But even after that, she had that painful experience.

It was at that time she understood how women are always overlooked when it comes to healthcare or most of the other industries., She analyzed the problem that personal protective equipment (PPE) has always been designed with the male body in mind. PPE is too big for some female scientists which places them at risk of injury. Longer sleeves are more likely to catch on things and wider goggles are more likely to slip off.

She has been trying to solve the problem through AmorSui. One of her most loved products was Hijab.

Beau was a Venture Fellow at the alumni venture group of Chestnut Street Ventures. Prior to that, she was a certified crowdfunding coach at IFundWomen. She has spent most of her time in the R&D field.

employHER loves the way you care for the safety of every person. We are grateful that you identified a major problem and are providing safety to our passionate women to focus on their careers.
